Just a quick update for our family from 2007.
Sharon started her 9th year teaching 1st grade at Syringa. This year also brought a big change for her, after 13 years of teaching in Relief Society, she was released. Although her new calling is still in Relief Society, it was nice for a change!
Amelia is still in Salt Lake City working for the IRC, which keeps her busy. She also just started graduate school at the University of Utah and is looking forward to the spring of 2009 when she will have her Masters in Social Work.
Derek had a busy year, completing Basic Training and AIT for the Idaho National Guard. The family had a fun visit to El Paso, Texas to see him graduate. After completing his training, Derek moved back to Boise where he started his studies in Graphic Design at Boise State University.
Devin is still in Powell where he attends Northwest College. He continues to work hard toward his welding degree and was invited to join the Phi Khappa Phi this past semester. Dev also works for Steve and Calvin at their shop and is learning a lot, both in regards to plumbing and "fun" sayings.
Darin finished his mission in April and after dealing with some medical issues, is doing much better. He has been working for Big O Tires in Pocatello for the past few months and is headed to BYU in January, where he will major in Political Science.
We hope all is well with each of you-
Happy New Year!
Love,
Sharon, Amelia, Derek, Devin, and Darin
